"I have enjoyed every single minute of it here and recommend it to everyone who is interested in volenteering. I have developed many useful skills since being at SREC."

Previous Staff

For a good many years I represented the Development Education Centre South Yorkshire (DECSY) at SREC and I was impressed by the necessity of its work, and the way in which it was carried out. I resigned from my post at DECSY some time ago, and someone else was appointed to represent the centre. However, I am still furious at the Council's decision to discontinue funding of SREC. and on DECSY's and my own behalf, express my regrets.

It has been a pleasure to work at SREC. The staff are consistently friendly and motivated, and the work plays a vital part in community cohesion within the city of Sheffield. Personally, it is a great loss to this city that it must close, and our commuities will be all the poorer or it.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the team here at SREC. The experience has been extremely worthwhile and I have learnt a great deal about the work being done in the Sheffield community to help with victims of racial discrimination and harassment. It is such a shame that the organisation must close and I believe that SREC will be severely missed.
